Custom transformer with galvanic isolation
Helps reduce ground loops and interference between connected equipment.

Independent shopping perspective
PCH X1 is a single-channel active DI isolator for sending a 1/4-inch instrument-level source to a balanced XLR input. Its custom transformer provides galvanic isolation to help address ground-loop hum and interference, while 48V phantom power runs the active circuit. The non-buffered Thru output lets one signal continue to an amplifier or monitor as the XLR feed goes to a mixer or recording interface. Ground lift and selectable 80Hz or 240Hz high-pass filtering give useful control when noise or excess low end needs attention.
