01How is the 16B4 different from the 16C4?
Same rim diameter and same #4 semi-flat rim. The B cup is shallower, so it gives more resistance and a brighter sound than the C cup.
02Is gold plating worth the extra cost?
It plays the same as silver. Gold feels slicker on the lip and does not react with skin, which matters if silver irritates you. Otherwise it is preference.
03Is this a lead mouthpiece?
It leans that way. The shallow B cup and added resistance favor projection and the upper register, but the medium-large rim keeps it usable across a full set.
04Can I use it on Eb trumpet?
Yes. That is one of its intended uses, for players who want a bigger rim diameter on Eb than typical small-bore Eb mouthpieces offer.
