02Is this a good beginner mouthpiece?
It is playable but demanding. The 13, with its rounder rim, quicker response and smaller .665 inch cup, is the size Schilke points students toward.
03Will it help my high register?
No. The C cup is built for tone. For upper register, the shallow A cup models like the 14A4a with the tight A backbore are the ones designed for that job.
04Does gold plating change the sound?
