01What's the difference between the 15C4 and the plain 15?
Nearly the same dimensions. The 15C4 adds the number 4 semi-flat rim, which spreads pressure across more of the lip and helps endurance on long playing days.
02Can I use this on a trumpet?
No. Cornet and trumpet receivers use different shank tapers, so a cornet mouthpiece won't seat properly in a trumpet.
03Is this too big for a student?
It's a moderate .675" diameter, not a large piece. A developing player can handle it, though the rim shape takes some adjustment time.
04Does gold plating change the sound?
