01Will this fit my student trombone?
Only if it has a large-shank receiver. Most student tenor trombones are small shank, and this piece will not seat properly in one.
02What's the difference between the 50 and the 51?
The 51 is slightly wider at 1.010 inch with a large bowl-shaped cup and J throat, aimed at large-bore and orchestral tone. The 50 is the more general-purpose piece.
03Can I use this on bass trombone?
It is sized for medium and large-bore tenor. Bass players are better served by the larger cups in the 57 through 60 range.
04Does the silver plating wear off?
Plating wears at the rim over years of heavy use, especially with acidic skin. Wipe it down after playing and it lasts far longer.
