Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The 18-inch XSR Chinese is for deliberately raw, aggressive cymbal color. It can be used for bright yet dirty ride patterns, then switched to fast attacking accents when the part needs a stronger edge. Its response is described as tonally tight, so the character stays focused on that direct, forceful Chinese-cymbal voice.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Playing bright, dirty ride patterns that call for a raw, tightly focused cymbal response.
- Adding fast attacking accents with a deliberately aggressive Chinese-cymbal character.
