01How do I know if my bass is 3/4?
Most uprights sold for students, orchestras, and jazz are 3/4. If you have not been told otherwise, it almost certainly is. Measure the string length nut to bridge and compare with your current set.
02Can I use these on an electric bass?
No. Double bass strings are far longer and heavier, with different ball or loop ends. They will not fit an electric bass at the nut, bridge, or tuners.
03Should I change all four at once?
Better not to. The soundpost inside is held by string pressure. Swap one string at a time so tension never drops to zero.
04Will the bass need adjusting afterward?
Check the bridge is standing straight and square after the strings stretch in, and expect to retune several times over the first few days.
