If you're in your first year or your jaw tires quickly, no. If you already play with a full sound and want more volume, step up to 2.5 or 3.
02How long does one reed last?
With daily practice, a couple of weeks before it goes soft or dull. Rotating between all three in the box stretches that considerably.
03Will these fit my tenor sax?
No. Baritone reeds are noticeably wider and longer. You need reeds cut for tenor.
04Do I need to soak them first?
Yes. A minute in water or in your mouth before playing. Dry cane plays stiff and chips easily at the tip.
