01Is smooth white the same as coated?
No. Smooth white is an opaque film with no coating texture. Brushes will not produce a proper sweep sound on it.
02Can I use this on the bottom of a tom?
You can, but a two-ply resonant head chokes the drum. Reso heads are usually thinner.
03Will it fit a 10 inch snare?
It will fit a 10 in. shell. On a piccolo or side snare it will sound thick and short compared with a single-ply batter.
04How much muffling will I need?
Often none. The second ply already shortens sustain. Add a small gel only if the drum still rings too long.
