01Will this fit a 16-inch floor tom?
No. It's cut for an 18-inch head. On a 16 it would overhang the rim and sit unevenly, and on a 20 it would leave the outer head undamped.
02Batter side or resonant side?
Batter side is the normal use — that's where you're striking and where the overtones start. It sits on the head and you play right through it.
03Will it fall off when I play hard?
It rests loose rather than sticking down, so heavy playing can shift or bounce it. Check placement between songs if you hit hard.
04Do I still need moongel or tape?
