What matters in use
Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.
Detail 01
Heavier build than a single-ply head. More attack control, less overtone, and it takes hard beater impact better.
Detail 02
Coated but not textured. Slightly warmer and less bright than a clear head, with a bit of built-in muffling.
Detail 03
Fits an 18" bass drum only. Measure the shell, not the hoop or the old head's outer ring.
Detail 04
Built for beater impact, not sticks. The thicker construction is what keeps it from denting through quickly.
Detail 05
Takes a logo or artwork if you use it as the front head, and shows beater marks over time.

Product questions
Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.
Yes. It works on either side of an 18" bass drum. As a front head it is unported, so you would need to cut a hole yourself for miking.
No. This is an 18 in. head and only fits an 18" shell. Bass drum heads do not stretch to fit a larger diameter.
Recommended if you play hard or use a hard beater. It spreads impact and keeps the strike zone from wearing through early.
It is thicker, so you get more low-end thump, shorter sustain, and longer life. Single-ply heads sound more open and resonant.
