02Are these for the top or bottom of the toms?
Top. These are batter heads, the side you strike. Resonant bottom heads are sold separately and are usually thinner.
03How do these compare to a single-ply head?
Two plies means more durability, less sustain, and a thicker mid-range. Single-ply heads ring longer and are more sensitive at low volume.
04Can I use these with brushes?
Not well. Clear film is smooth, so brushes have nothing to grab. A coated head gives you the sweep sound.
