Yes, if the shell measures 12 inches across the bearing edge. Standard 12-inch toms from any brand take a standard 12-inch head.
02Do I still need a muffling ring with this?
Usually not. The internal damping between the two plies already shortens sustain. Add muffling only if you want the note even drier.
03Is the black film louder or quieter than clear?
Same. The color is cosmetic. The two-ply construction, not the finish, is what controls the sound.
04Can I use this as a bottom head?
You can, but the drum will lose most of its sustain and response. Resonant sides normally use a thinner single-ply head.
