01Does this go on the top or bottom of the snare?
The bottom. Snare-side heads sit under the snare wires and are tuned tighter than the batter head. Striking one with sticks will destroy it quickly.
02Will this fit my 13" snare?
No. This is a 14 in. head and needs a 14" snare drum. Head diameter has to match the shell exactly.
03What is the difference between hazy and clear snare side?
Hazy has a frosted surface that slightly warms the tone and softens the wire attack. Clear is more open and cutting.
04How tight should I tune it?
Snare-side heads run considerably tighter than the batter head. Tune up in small, even turns across all lugs until the wire response tightens up.
