Floating four-point platform
It balances mounting weight across upper and lower floating points on the tom shell.

Independent shopping perspective
For the listed 12x9/12x10 configuration, Pearl’s R2 Air Tom Mount uses a floating four-point platform to keep the mounted tom isolated from its hardware. The mount divides its load between floating contact points at the top and bottom of the shell. Once positioned, the tom angle is handled through one adjustment point. Included rubber IsoDiscs offer another setup control: place one at any of four tension points to fine-tune the drum’s sustain and tone. Versions are available for GyroLock-L and Pearl’s standard 7/8-inch tube arm.
