Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Mitchell's D120S12E is a right-handed, 12-string dreadnought acoustic-electric built for taking its amplified sound to the stage. An undersaddle piezo feeds an active preamp with three-band EQ, so adjustments and tuning are handled on the instrument. Its solid Engelmann spruce top is paired with mahogany back and sides, and the non-cutaway body has a gloss finish. The guitar uses a 25.5-inch scale, a 1.75-inch nut width, and a compensated saddle.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Stage use requiring onboard 3-band EQ adjustments and a built-in tuner.
- Players looking for a right-handed 12-string acoustic-electric in a dreadnought body style.
- Acoustic playing with a solid Engelmann spruce top and mahogany back and sides.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players, as this model is specified for right-handed orientation.
- Players who require cutaway access, since the body is non-cutaway.
