Most players land on 2.5 to 3 with a 7 tip. If you play 3.5 on a smaller tip, try 3 here first and adjust from there.
02Will my current ligature fit?
Probably not. Metal mouthpiece shanks are narrower than hard rubber, so plan on a ligature made for metal tenor pieces.
03Is metal always louder than hard rubber?
Not louder in raw volume, but brighter and more focused, which cuts through a mix better. Projection comes from the chamber and tip, not the material alone.
04Does this fit a baritone or alto sax?
No. This is a tenor mouthpiece. The bore and shank are sized for a tenor neck and will not seat properly on other horns.
