Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
MESA/Boogie’s ’90s Dual Rectifier Standard is a 100W Class A/B tube guitar amp head with two independently controlled channels and the Clean, Vintage, and Modern voicings associated with this design. Selectable tube or silicon-diode rectification changes the response from softer and more elastic to tighter and faster, while Bold/Spongy changes headroom, punch, and compression. A tube-driven series loop, included one-button footswitch, speaker outputs, and level-controlled slave output support pedal, cabinet, and additional-amp or recording routing.
Strong match
Who this is for
- High-volume stage work requiring 100W of Class A/B tube power and selectable response controls.
- Studio routing that uses the level-controlled slave output or tube-driven series effects loop.
- Rigs moving between Clean, Vintage, and Modern voicings across two independent channels.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Rigs that require more than two independently controlled amplifier channels.
