Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built as an X Series acoustic-electric, the Special GPC-X1E Macassar combines Macassar HPL body construction with spruce scalloped X-bracing for clear notes, sustain and a balanced response. Its High-Performance Taper neck and Richlite fingerboard are intended to keep chord work and melodic playing comfortable. When it is time to plug in, the Martin E-1 system puts volume and tone controls beneath the soundhole and adds an onboard tuner. A softshell case is included for transport and protection.
