It fits drums built around the Ludwig P85 mounting pattern. On any other shell, compare hole spacing against your current strainer first — a mismatch means drilling.
02Does it come with snare wires?
No. This is the throw-off mechanism only. Wires, cord or straps, and the butt plate are bought separately.
03How hard is it to install?
Remove the head and old strainer, bolt the new one on, refit wires and retension. A screwdriver and about twenty minutes.
04Why would I replace a throw-off?
Usually because the lever slips, the tension knob won't hold, or the wires buzz. All of those trace back to worn strainer parts.
