No. The bracing and neck are built for low-tension nylon. Steel strings can pull the top and bend the neck. Use classical nylon strings only.
02Is this a good size for a 10 year old?
It is a full-size 25 inch scale. A smaller player will likely stretch to reach lower-position chords. A 3/4 size classical is easier for younger kids.
03Does it plug into an amp?
No pickup or preamp. To amplify it you would need a soundhole pickup or a microphone.
04Why is it black and not natural wood?
The finish is cosmetic. Classical guitars are usually natural, so black is a styling choice; it does not change how the guitar plays.
