Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
For a long-scale 5-string bass, these low-tension flats pair a classic sound with a smooth, flexible response. Their hand-wound, hand-polished construction uses round cores and narrower ribbon wire, aiming to retain feel without the floppy-string effect associated with some light-tension flatwounds. Take care during installation: only the silk section belongs around the tuning post.
