Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The Striped Ebony Acoustic-Electric U-Bass puts striped ebony across its top, back, and sides, with light-maple binding creating a clear visual contrast. Kala describes ebony as a high-density wood with strong tonal qualities. The instrument also combines a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with Custom Hipshot Ultralite tuners, 16 frets, and a 20.375 scale length. Its satin black finish keeps the overall appearance focused on the ebony figuring.
