Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The KA-SA-C is Kala’s concert ukulele built with acacia for the top, back, and sides, plus a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Acacia’s varied grain pattern gives each body a visually active surface, and the satin finish keeps that material front and center. Kala describes its sound as improving with play, making continued time on the instrument part of its appeal. Listed details include 18 frets, a 14.8125-inch scale length, and a 1.4375-inch nut width.
