Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Kala’s Bamboo Tenor Ukulele uses bamboo for the top, back, sides, neck, and fingerboard, placing its layered, straight grain front and center. The result is a natural, earthy visual treatment finished in satin, with a slotted headstock. Bamboo regenerates quickly without being replanted and is presented here as a highly renewable choice. Kala attributes a bright voice with volume, harmonics, projection, and sustain to the material, alongside strength, durability, and resilience. The tenor body has 18 frets and a 16.875-inch scale.
