Most players land around 2.5 to 3 here. If you play 3.5 on a stock mouthpiece, start at 3 and adjust.
02Will my existing ligature fit?
Hard rubber ligatures sized for standard alto pieces usually fit, but ligatures made for metal mouthpieces are smaller and generally will not.
03Is this a big jump from a stock mouthpiece?
Yes. Stock alto pieces are typically much closer. Expect more volume and flexibility, and expect to work on control for a few weeks.
04What is the difference between the 5M, 7M, and 8M?
