The radius is rounder in the lower frets for chords and flatter higher up for soloing.

Independent shopping perspective
Designed as Scott Ian’s King V signature model, this Jackson combines a nyatoh body, flame maple top and Baldini artwork. A pair of high-output humbuckers covers cutting bridge-pickup rhythm and lead work, a fuller neck-pickup voice, and the blended middle selection. The maple neck uses a scarf joint and graphite reinforcement, with a 12–16-inch compound-radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets. Its Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo is built for pitch effects while addressing tuning stability.
