Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Seven strings and an SSH pickup layout give the AZ447P1QMCOB extended-range options in a 25.5-inch scale format. A quilted maple top covers an American basswood body, paired with a satin roasted-maple AZ7 Oval C neck, rosewood fingerboard, and 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets. Neck and middle Seymour Duncan Hyperion 7 single-coils join a bridge humbucker; dyna-MIX9 and the Alter Switch deliver nine pickup configurations. Gotoh T1572S tremolo and MG-T locking tuners support vibrato work and faster string changes.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Working with lower tunings, wide chord voicings, and extended-range lead parts.
- Moving between clean, driven, and blended pickup sounds without changing guitars.
- Using tremolo-based vibrato with locking tuners that speed up string changes.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who require a six-string format; this is a seven-string electric guitar.
