1/4" adapters are made in both TS and TRS versions. Check that this one is wired TRS before using it in a balanced path.
02Can I use it on a guitar output jack?
Yes, if the jack has clearance. Strat-style recessed jack plates often do not leave enough room.
03Does it affect tone?
A passive adapter does not change tone. A loose or dirty connection causes noise, which is the real risk.
04Is it for headphones?
It is 1/4" on both ends, so it fits 1/4" headphone jacks but will not adapt a 1/8" plug.
