GuildD-50E Standard Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Antique Burst

Crafted for players who prefer the depth and projection of a classic rosewood dreadnought, the Guild D-50E Standard acoustic-electric guitar combines all-solid tonewoods, responsive bracing and stage-ready electronics in a performance-focused design. A solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and forward-shifted scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing deliver a broad, full-range voice with strong low-end presence, clear articulation and extended harmonic content. The traditional dreadnought body provides confident projection for both solo and ensemble playing, while the LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system carries that natural character into amplified environments. From acoustic sessions to live performance, this acoustic-electric guitar offers a powerful, balanced foundation rooted in classic design. Solid Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood Construction The D-50E Standard pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a combination known for its wide tonal range and dynamic response. Sitka spruce provides clear attack, headroom and consistent projection, while Indian rosewood adds deeper bass response, enhanced overtones and a fuller overall voice. This pairing allows the guitar to deliver both power and detail, making it well suited for players who need strong low-end support without sacrificing clarity in chords or single-note lines. Forward-Shifted Adirondack Bracing Enhances Projection Forward-shifted scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing allows the top to respond more freely, increasing sensitivity and dynamic range. Combined with the dreadnought body shape, this design supports strong projection and a broad acoustic footprint that carries easily in a room. The result? A voice that remains defined across different playing styles, from strummed rhythm parts to more controlled fingerstyle passages, while maintaining clarity and separation throughout the frequency range. Mahogany Neck With Rosewood Fingerboard The mahogany neck is carved to a comfortable C profile that supports extended playing without excess bulk, while the Indian rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth, stable surface with a slightly warmer tonal response. A 12" radius, 20 frets and Guild’s 25.625" scale length create a balanced feel across the neck, supporting open-position work, fuller chord voicings and melodic playing higher up the fingerboard. This setup delivers consistency and playability without compromising the guitar’s natural acoustic response. LR Baggs Element VTC Electronics for Natural Amplification Onboard LR Baggs Element VTC electronics provide a reliable way to bring the guitar’s acoustic voice into amplified settings. Discreetly placed soundhole-mounted controls allow quick access to volume and tone adjustments while maintaining a clean appearance. The system is designed to preserve the instrument’s natural tonal character, making it suitable for live performance, studio recording and direct connection to a PA or acoustic amplifier. Vintage Nitro Finish and Traditional Guild Appointments A vintage gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish enhances tje D-50E's visual depth while allowing the wood to remain responsive. Classic Guild details—including white body binding, a tortoiseshell pickguard, black-and-white rosette and Guild Peak headstock inlay—reinforce its traditional aesthetic. Guild Deluxe Vintage open-gear tuners with butterbean buttons provide stable tuning, while the included Guild Deluxe humidified wood case and accessories support long-term care. For players seeking a powerful rosewood dreadnought with strong projection, extended harmonic detail and dependable electronics, the Guild D-50E Standard dreadnought delivers a complete, performance-ready instrument.
