Developed with Mike Johnston, this 14 x 5.5 in. Brooklyn Standard is a 6-ply maple/poplar snare built to cover a broad tuning range. Its double-cut 45° bearing edges, Permatone heads and 302 double-flange hoops provide an open, sustaining response. When a shorter, more focused sound suits the part, the internal muffler adjusts from the side of the shell. Tube lugs, the Lightning throw-off and 42-count snare wire complete its vintage-inspired layout.
