01How do I know if I need 3/32" or 1/8"?
Pull the old saddle and measure its thickness with calipers or a ruler. Most Martins use 3/32". Guessing wrong means a loose or non-fitting saddle.
02Will this fit a non-Martin guitar?
Often, if the slot is 3/32" wide and the length and radius are close. You may need to shorten the ends and sand the bottom for height.
03Does it come ready to install?
The top is already compensated and shaped. You'll still sand the bottom to dial in string height, and possibly trim the length.
04Which way does a compensated saddle face?
The staggered break points face the bridge pins, toward the back of the guitar. Installed backwards, intonation gets worse rather than better.
