The Gold Tone CC-100R resonator banjo is an ideal choice for beginners and students looking to start their musical journey. Gold Tone has been crafting high-quality, handmade banjos in the USA for over 30 years, and the CC-100R is their most popular model for those just picking up the banjo. With premium, solid wood construction and brilliant tone, the CC-100R banjo provides unparalleled value that will inspire you to play. Premium Woods Provide Rich, Resonant Tone The CC-100R banjo features a maple neck, rim and resonator back for a crisp, articulate tone. The maple wood is lightweight yet durable, and produces a balanced frequency response. The brass tone ring and coordinating rods further enhance sustain and projection. Whether playing bluegrass, folk or country, the CC-100R banjo's all-wood construction and classic design will fill any room with gorgeous resonating tones. Convertible Resonator for Versatile Playing Styles Easily switch between playing styles by converting the CC-100R from an open-back to resonator banjo. Remove the resonator back for a mellower, old-timey sound perfect for clawhammer and folk styles. Attach the resonator for added volume and projection suited to bluegrass picking. The convertible resonator makes the CC-100R a versatile instrument that can achieve a wide range of tones for any genre. Low Action and Adjustable Truss Rod for Comfortable Playability The CC-100R banjo features low string action and an adjustable truss rod for comfortable playability right out of the box. The truss rod allows you to adjust neck relief to your preferred playing style. Low action reduces string buzz and makes fretting notes and chords easier for beginners. Overall, the CC-100R is set up to be instantly playable, allowing you to focus on technique and having fun.
