02Do I need to soak it first?
No. Synthetic material absorbs no water. Mount it and play.
03Is 1.5 too soft for me?
If you're new to soprano or your jaw fatigues quickly, 1.5 is a reasonable start. Experienced players usually want more resistance.
04Will this fit my clarinet or alto?
No. This is cut for soprano saxophone. Clarinet and alto reeds have different dimensions.
