01Do these work on non-Fender guitars?
Usually yes. Most standard strap buttons use a similar screw and shaft size, so the washer seats the same way. Oversized or recessed buttons are the exception.
02Will these stop my strap falling off?
No. They protect the finish and add a little friction, but they are not strap locks. If your strap slips off, get locking buttons or rubber strap blocks.
