Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Fender's limited-edition Player II Jazz Bass Plus Top pairs an alder body and flamed maple veneer top with two Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil Jazz Bass pickups. The JJ layout delivers a rumbling sound with punchy mids and a tight low end. A modern C-shaped maple neck, satin back finish, 9.5-inch-radius maple fingerboard, and 20 medium-jumbo frets give the instrument a familiar playing surface. Separate pickup volumes, master tone, and a 4-saddle bridge provide direct control over sound, action, and intonation.
