Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The 62 Stratocaster Relic pairs three Custom Shop hand-wound Fat '60s single-coil pickups with five-way blade switching for familiar Strat pickup combinations. Its master volume incorporates a tone-saver treble-bleed circuit, intended to retain high-end clarity as you lower the volume. The build combines a two-piece offset-seam select alder body, maple neck, and 3A rosewood fingerboard, with 21 Jescar vintage frets. A Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo provides vibrato control, and the relic treatment completes the aged Seminole red presentation.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Rolling down the master volume while retaining the circuit's specified high-end clarity.
- Using five pickup positions in rehearsal, recording, or live performance.
- Carrying the instrument in the included deluxe hardshell case.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players looking for a fixed bridge; this Stratocaster uses a synchronized tremolo.
- Players who do not want a relic-treated, aged appearance.
