Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Fender Custom Shop’s limited-edition 1957 Stratocaster pairs a two-piece select alder body with a roasted maple, 1957 Soft V neck and maple fingerboard. Its Super Heavy Relic nitro finish, exposed wear, lacquer checking, and relic nickel/chrome hardware establish a deliberately road-worn look and feel. Three handwound ’50s Strat single-coils run through a five-way blade and dedicated neck and middle tone controls. Narrow tall frets, a 9.5-inch radius, and a vintage-style synchronized tremolo keep bends, fast runs, and pitch effects within easy reach.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Stage or studio sessions requiring five-way single-coil selection and quick-access tone controls.
- Players seeking the deliberately worn appearance and feel of a heavily reliced Stratocaster.
- Collectors looking for a limited-edition Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this model is right handed.
- Players who want an unaged, pristine-looking finish rather than intentional heavy relic wear.
