Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The CD-60S is a right-handed, six-string dreadnought acoustic with a solid mahogany top and laminated mahogany back and sides. Its sound is described as warm and rich with a balanced attack, offering an alternative to a brighter spruce-top voice. Fender pairs the dreadnought body with an easy-to-play neck and rolled fingerboard edges for a smoother feel when moving along the neck. There is no pickup or preamp, keeping the instrument focused on its acoustic configuration.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Singer-songwriter or fingerstyle playing that calls for the warm, intimate character described for mahogany.
- Acoustic parts where a dreadnought body’s bold, projecting response suits vocal accompaniment.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who require a built-in pickup or preamp.
- Buyers who need a case or gig bag included.
