This is cut to American Standard spec. Import Strats often use a different switch body and mounting spacing, so check the switch in your guitar against this one first.
02Do I need to solder?
Yes. The pickup leads, ground and output wire all attach to the switch lugs. A tech can do it quickly if you do not solder.
03Will this change my tone?
No. A selector routes which pickups reach the output. A worn switch causes crackle and dropouts, and replacing it restores clean signal, not a new sound.
04Does it work with humbuckers?
It is specified for a three-single-coil Strat. An HSS guitar can use a 5-way, but the wiring scheme differs, so confirm your layout before buying.
