01Will this fit my Mexican or Squier P-Bass?
It is cut for the American Standard neck. Other P-Bass lines vary in nut slot width and depth, so measure your existing nut before ordering.
02Can I install a nut myself?
Removal and gluing are doable with care. Cutting slots to final height takes gauged nut files — too deep and the open strings buzz, and you cannot undo it.
03Do I need to adjust anything after?
Check open-string action at the first fret and retune. If the slots sit high, notes play sharp near the nut and the first few frets feel stiff.
04Will this change my tone?
Only on open strings, and only slightly. Nut material affects unfretted notes; once you fret a note, the nut is out of the equation.
