No. This is an 18-inch head and fits 18-inch bass drums only. An 18-inch head will not seat on a 20-inch shell.
02Do I still need a pillow inside the drum?
Usually not. The damping is built into the head. Try it bare first, then add internal muffling only if you still want a shorter note.
03Is this the front head or the beater head?
Beater head. It goes on the side your pedal strikes.
