Pure nickel wraps have less steel content, so they read warmer and softer through pickups. Nickel-plated steel is brighter and more aggressive.
03Are these good for drop tunings?
Not on a standard 25.5" scale. A 38 low E loses too much tension when detuned. Use a heavier set for anything below standard.
04Do these work on a bass or acoustic?
No. These are electric guitar gauges. Bass needs its own long-scale set, and acoustics need bronze wrap to sound right.
