Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a compact 7/8-size format, the J-45 Express gives new players and traveling musicians a smaller acoustic to manage. Its 22.68-inch scale, C-profile mahogany neck, and 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard keep the layout approachable for chord work and extended practice. Layered spruce and layered mahogany make up the body, producing the warm, balanced voice and clear projection described for this model. A passive piezo under-saddle pickup adds an amplified option, while the included gig bag supports transport.
Strong match
Who this is for

- Taking a smaller-bodied acoustic to practice sessions or casual jams
- Players seeking an acoustic with a passive under-saddle piezo pickup
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who specifically want a full-size acoustic body and scale length
