The Electro-Voice EVOLVE 50M G2 portable column PA system combines powerful output, wide audience coverage and extensive onboard mixing capabilities in a portable design built for musicians, DJs, bands and event professionals. Eight 3.5" neodymium column drivers deliver consistent 120° horizontal by 40° vertical coverage, while a 12" subwoofer provides bass extension down to 37Hz. A 1500W amplifier delivers up to 129dB maximum SPL for live performances, presentations and events. Enhanced QuickSmart DSP adds automatic feedback suppression, music ducking and expanded effects capabilities, while switchable 48V phantom power and flexible input options accommodate microphones, instruments and playback devices. With QuickSmart Link connectivity, Bluetooth true wireless stereo streaming and a 2.8" color LCD, the EVOLVE 50M G2 delivers professional mixing and performance control in a streamlined column system. Wide Coverage and 1500W Power Deliver Full-Range Performance The EVOLVE 50M G2 combines eight 3.5" neodymium drivers in an array-formed column with a 12" low-frequency driver to deliver clear, consistent sound across a wide listening area. Its 120° x 40° coverage pattern helps distribute vocals and instruments evenly throughout the audience, while the subwoofer's laminar flow vent design supports efficient bass output. A 1500W amplifier provides 750W each for the low- and high-frequency sections, delivering up to 129dB maximum SPL with a frequency response of 43Hz–20kHz (-3dB). With up to 2dB more maximum output than the previous generation, the system provides additional headroom for live performances, spoken-word presentations and music playback while maintaining the compact footprint of a portable column array. QuickSmart DSP and Expanded Mixing Simplify Show Control The onboard mixer provides extensive connectivity for performers who need to manage multiple audio sources without a separate mixing console. Four XLR/TRS combo microphone and line inputs with switchable 48V phantom power accommodate compatible microphones and audio equipment, while a dedicated 1/4" Hi-Z input supports direct instrument connections. Additional stereo inputs include XLR/TRS, RCA, 3.5 mm and Bluetooth streaming, with XLR Mix and AUX outputs providing flexible signal routing. Enhanced QuickSmart DSP adds automatic feedback suppression, music ducking and expanded effects combinations, with a 1/4" footswitch input for effects control during performances. The 2.8" color LCD provides direct access to mixer settings, while the QuickSmart Mobile app enables wireless adjustments from compatible devices. QuickSmart Link also allows two EVOLVE 50M G2 systems to share audio and control, expanding available mixer inputs for more complex setups. Portable Three-Piece Design Makes Setup and Transport Easier The EVOLVE 50M G2 retains the series' straightforward three-piece assembly, allowing the subwoofer, aluminum pole and column array to be connected quickly without complicated rigging or extensive cabling. An updated top handle improves portability, while the lightweight column and pole components help simplify transportation between rehearsals, venues and events. The subwoofer features a plywood enclosure with a protective polyurea coating, complemented by a composite column housing and powder-coated steel grilles. Weighing 55.6 lb. as a complete system, the EVOLVE 50M G2 balances substantial output with a space-efficient design. The system includes a carrying bag for the column and pole, with optional padded subwoofer covers and rolling transport cases available separately.
