Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The Artisan Blue Titanium Steel Snare combines a 14 x 6.5-inch, 1 mm beadless rolled-steel shell with die-cast hoops and 20-strand steel snares. Dixon describes this steel design as working especially well in high-to-mid tunings while remaining capable of higher tuning, greater volume, and increased dynamics. The adjustable butt plate lets you alter snare-wire tension from either side of the drum, and the drop-style throw-off keeps that adjustment within the drum’s snare setup. Blue titanium plating gives the shell its mirror-effect finish.
