The D'Angelico Excel Gramercy acoustic-electric guitar offers warm and balanced tone with a sleek single-cutaway design. Its all-solid wood construction featuring a spruce top, mahogany back and sides produces balanced resonance with shimmering highs and robust low end. The slim C-shaped neck and 14" radius rosewood fingerboard make chord progressions and lead lines equally comfortable. Onboard Fishman electronics accurately convey the natural acoustic sound for shaping your tone through an amplifier or mixing board. All-Solid Woods Generate Rich Tone D'Angelico crafted the Gramercy with premium tonewoods selected for their musical properties. The solid spruce top provides articulate highs and midrange clarity. Solid mahogany back and sides add warmth and low-end punch. Together, these all-solid woods produce full-range tone with complex overtones that open up more over time. The Gramercy's balanced and resonant voice suits a variety of musical styles from fingerstyle to strumming. Play with Ease Thanks to a Profiled Neck The Gramercy's slim C-shaped mahogany neck and 14" radius rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable playing experience for both chords and single-note lines. The C profile fills your hand without feeling bulky while the fingerboard radius curves smoothly under your fingers. Premium medium jumbo frets offer a familiar feel for moving between acoustic and electric guitars. Overall, the neck design makes the Gramercy accessible whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro. Shape Your Natural Tone with Onboard Electronics The Gramercy includes a Fishman Sonitone preamp and tuner for amplifying your acoustic tone with clarity. The preamp's single-band EQ and phase switch allow basic tone shaping to suit the venue. You can also blend in the piezo pickup's transparent sound with the natural acoustic sound. An onboard tuner provides convenient tuning in noisy environments. Lightweight yet rugged, the Sonitone preamp is ideal for gigging, recording and practice. Design Details Reflect D'Angelico's Craftsmanship Several cosmetic touches showcase D'Angelico's dedication to detail. A throwback stairstep pickguard, truss rod cover and bridge pay homage to archtop designs of the past. Pearloid dot inlays and a mother-of-pearl rosette add a touch of class. Together with the Gramercy's elegant single-cutaway shape, these appointments produce an instrument as stylish as it is sonically impressive.
