No. Classical strings are built for nylon-string guitars and tie at the bridge. A steel-string acoustic needs ball-end steel strings and much higher tension.
03What does hard tension change?
More projection and a firmer feel under the finger than normal tension. If your other five strings are normal tension, this D will feel noticeably stiffer.
04How long until it stays in tune?
Nylon-core strings stretch a lot. Expect repeated retuning over the first several days before it settles at pitch.
