BlackstarDA5 Ruby Doug Aldrich Signature 5W 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amp - Ruby Red

Ready to bring the authority and touch response of Doug Aldrich’s live rig into your own room? The Blackstar DA5 Ruby Doug Aldrich Signature combo translates the character of the DA100 Ruby into a compact 5W tube amp built for home, studio and recording use. At its core, a genuine push-pull power stage and custom 12" Aldrich 50 speaker work together to deliver responsive feel, depth and projection, while power reduction to 0.5W lets you explore that character at practical volume levels. Meanwhile, two channels, four voices and Blackstar's patented ISF control take you from articulate cleans to saturated hard-rock drive without sacrificing the immediacy that makes a tube amp inspiring to play. Push-Pull Tube Power With Room to Breathe The DA5 Ruby pairs an ECC83 preamp tube with a 12BH7 power tube in a genuine push-pull configuration that responds naturally to pick attack and changes from your guitar's controls. As a result, chords retain definition when you play lightly, while lead lines gain compression and sustain as you dig in. Moreover, switchable 5W and 0.5W settings provide two useful operating ranges, giving you fuller output when the room allows and driven tube character at more manageable levels when it does not. Together with the custom Aldrich 50 speaker, this design gives the compact combo the depth, presence and projection needed to make every playing session feel more substantial. Four Voices and Direct Tools for Modern Workflows Beyond its tube foundation, the DA5 Ruby offers two channels and four voices that move from American-influenced cleans to British-style overdrive and high-gain tones. The ISF control then lets you continuously reshape the response, making it easy to move between tighter, more focused sounds and broader, more resonant character. Meanwhile, studio-quality reverb and a series effects loop support ambient textures and pedal-based setups, while CabRig speaker simulation provides three editable presets for direct recording and monitoring. Factor in USB-C stereo audio, an XLR CabRig output and a stereo headphone and line output, and the amp moves effortlessly from focused practice to silent tracking and streamlined studio work. Doug Aldrich's Commanding Sound in a Compact Format Widely regarded as one of the world's most respected rock guitarists, Doug has built a career that includes Whitesnake, Dio, Burning Rain and The Dead Daisies. Accordingly, the DA5 Ruby reflects the powerful tone and responsive playing experience at the center of his larger DA100 Ruby rig, translating those qualities into a format suited to everyday use. Finally, Ruby tolex, a cast-alloy plate logo, premium design elements, included plectrums and a signed certificate complete the signature presentation. For players looking to bring Aldrich-inspired tube tone into a home or studio setup, the Blackstar DA5 Ruby is an excellent choice that combines expressive feel, flexible sound shaping and practical connectivity in one focused signature combo.
