01Will this fit my bass clarinet mouthpiece?
It is cut for standard bass clarinet mouthpiece blanks. Unusually large or slim mouthpieces can sit loose or refuse to seat.
02Does it work on a soprano clarinet?
No. A bass clarinet mouthpiece is significantly larger, so this ligature will not clamp properly on a Bb clarinet.
03Which way does it go on?
The plate contacts the flat of the reed and the screws tighten it down. Position the reed tip level with the mouthpiece tip first.
04How tight should the screws be?
Only tight enough that the reed does not shift. Extra pressure damps the reed and flattens response without holding it any better.
